Overall, my two works revolve around the idea that everything leaves traces, but also about how we
cannibalize and sublimate the past. The source of all, that is new. In the present, there are only imprints
of and extensions upon what has come before. What is gone forms the foundation for what exists now.
My contributions to โARThitectureโ take their starting point in the home, the primal architectural space.
In how it is shaped and inhabited. Specifically, in how its objects create meaning and significance:
โTraces of Humansโ consists of a series of paper pieces. The objects of the home are gone, leaving
behind only their arbitrary imprintsโreduced to markers of memory.
In โReimagining the Past/Constructing the Futureโ, the objects of the home function as constructive
elements, forming the basis for new sculptural architectural modellingsโbuilding blocks for new forms
and interpretations.
For this exhibition, I have deliberately worked to amplify what is merely suggested. This approach was
taken with the Japanese audience in mindโan audience known for its keen appreciation of the sensory
and the ephemeral, often expressed through a refined and understated aesthetic. I have therefore been
deeply engaged and focused on refining and tuning my expression to align with this Japanese
perspective and sensibilityโa sensibility I feel deeply in tune with.

I have studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Visual Arts (sculpture) as well as the School of Architecture and graduated in 1997. I have worked as an mixed media artist, worked with architecture in studios in Denmark and studios abroad, both Berlin and Barcelona. In the latter city Iโve taken part of my education. Iโve had my own architectual firm, been an entrepreneur and have started, as well as run a company with lamps designed and produced by myself. Since my graduation I have been a preforming artist and have participated in juried exhibitions. Art has in recent years again become the main focal point of my creation. Furthermore, as a member of the Visual Arts Council in my municipality, I advise, create workshops and events.
